We are honored to have a special guest attending, Doreen Hudson, the recently instated President of the Board of Directors of the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society (SGVHS). VegHelp101 and the SGVHS are Community Partners. I look forward to strengthening our ties with each other. We welcome Doreen with open arms and are so happy that she will be joining us!

What a great day yesterday at the phenomenal Kindred Spirits Care Farm in Reseda, CA. This community gem practices love, mutual healing, environmental healing, and veganism all rolled into one. Check them out at www.kindredspiritscarefarm.org.

Patricia Todd, facilitator of the VegHelp101 Vegan Education and Support Group  and dedicated volunteer with the wonderful San Gabriel Valley Humane Society, joined together with SGVHS volunteer, Joyce. We had a great day at the Grassroots Natural Market and Kitchen Health Expo yesterday as Community Partners. A great sense of cooperation and sharing of information!

Wow wow wow! Great time yesterday at the Green Festival LA. Numerous VegHelp101 members attended this gala event for a green planet. We visited our friends and Community Partner at their booth, the Green Menu, and saw many other environmentally aware and veggie friends. Clifton Roberts, the Humane Party U.S. Presidential Candidate spoke and many of us met with him and helped publicize his campaign. Who knew there is a vegan candidate?

What a fantastic day we had on Monday, Aug. 29 at Grassroots Natural Market and Kitchen in South Pasadena. They featured VEGAN FOOD all day at their kitchen for Meatless Monday! And boy was the food ever DEEE-licious! Yum. Met terrific vendors and customers. Lots of interest in the vegan lifestyle. Big THANKS to Grassroots for holding Meatless Monday at your store!

Thanks to all who came last night to view the acclaimed movie, Forks Over Knives. This is the documentary that impact many people to seriously move towards a whole food plant based diet. Any comments? Feedback?
